Automatic Purchase Orders from Work Orders
So as I mentioned in an earlier thread, my company has been having some fun times getting our labor costs into our COGS. We don't actually do our own production, outsourcing it instead to another company and getting invoiced for the labor at a later time. We tried all sorts of methods to ensure that this could be attributed in the final value of the inventory produced, and in the end we decided to treat this cost as a "inventory item" due to the advice we found in this thread:
