"Only one credit card may be set as the default." Error

Starting this morning - 3am (BST) - we've started to see an error when trying to save Customer Records.

"Only one credit card may be set as the default."

Looking at the record, there are indeed multiple cards set as default.
Looking through all our customer records, we have over 10,000 customers with multiple default cards - no idea how this has happened.

Anyone else seeing this issue?
Did NS add a new check when saving the Customer Record overnight?
