Cost of Goods Sold/Landed Cost Set Up
We are currently using landed costs to calculate incoming freight and duties on the products we sell. We have 3 cost of goods sold accounts that this should affect. The inventory cogs, the freight cogs and the duties cogs. As of now, when we fulfill an order the total cost of that product (inventory item + freight + duties) is being recorded in the inventory cogs. Is there a way to set up the landed costs and cost of goods sold so that we can split the costs into 3 separate cogs accounts?
Example: Product sold cost $100, duties $50, freight $25 = total cost $175. Currently cogs shows Inventory COGS $175 and the duties and freight accounts are $0. We want the Inventory COGS to show $100, Duties COGS $50, and Freight COGS $25.
