Disable Taxes in NetSuite

We use netsuite for our financials globally but do not want to use taxes. By default tax columns get created in purchase / sales (for our UK - Canada Sub) and are mandatory fields.

We cannot hide or change the columns or put blank values.

Is there any way that we disable taxes in NetSuite as we are doing taxes outside of NetSuite and do not want to enter the same information here.
