Unable to create sales orders directly from customer profile

Something's changed overnight in our account.  My users reported that they can't click on the little green 'new' icon on a customer profile to create a Sales Order.  They're able to create invoices and cash sales per normal (along with the other content types), but Sales Orders are no longer an option.

I don't think it's permissioning, as I can't do it as an Admin.

Has anyone else lost this capability today?
