Budget control

Hi all,

I am trying to understand Budgets functionality in NetSuite.

I expected to have some on-going control (and restrictions) while users are logged in. For example:
- Let/force the user to pick the relevant budget to be used in purchase transaction
- Have the user warned/stopped if there's no more budget
- Visibility of remaining amount on budget

From looking around it seems that all we can do is just compare expanses in retrospect...
Is there any budget control functionality that I am missing?
