Knowing if imported leads eventually purchase
Hello,
I'm the new marketing manager for an ecommerce company. We have lists of externally captured leads that we import as CSVs into the system. Currently, we import them as leads. If they eventually come to our online store and buy, the system creates a completely new customer record and the information captured in the original lead record has to be manually merged. Not ideal.
What are our alternatives? Can/should we upload the leads as customers? What are best practices here?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
- Marko
