CSV Update of Transaction = badly designed

edited Dec 3, 2019 1:14PM in Account Administration 6 comments

So I have 32 000 Invoices on which I just need to update the Terms. Change nothing else, just Terms.

So I start the CSv import assistant, and make it to the mapping screen, which stops me dead.

For some reason, even though I just want to update Terms, which is a Body-level field, Item and Tax Code are mandatory fields for the import.

That's nice. I can live with adding item. That's going to make my already hefty 32 000 lines into, what, 100 000+ lines, but whatever. The Tax Code, however, is impossible to extract  in a line-by-line way using Saved Searches. So basically, I'm going to have to spend hours arranging my CSV import file so it includes Tax Code and item eben though all I want is to update the transaction body.

Howdy, Stranger!
