Failed Item Import - Invalid taxschedule reference key. Help please

I have imported new products without problems in the past, but at one point or another something changed, and I am no longer able to do so. The error I receive in the CSV response is "Invalid taxschedule reference key S1." I have made sure that I mapped everything correctly; additionally, I exported a list of items with the tax schedule reference key included, and copy and pasted that column into my new list of items to import. Is there something I'm overlooking?
