CSV Import metrics?

Has anyone taken the time to calculate how long a CSV import is taking to process each record?  I know it is variable by Number of fields and scripts/workflows that are running on those rows.  But what I am looking for is Seconds per row/Number of fields? or something of that nature?  anyone have this kind of data around?:h_a_w:
