Importing Legacy Data

I have a client that I had just imported into NetSuite. None of their legacy data will fit into the new forms so I built out a customer form and case form that is essentially read-only, just for viewing legacy data. I have a CSV with customer data, and CSV with Case data. The only joining field would be customer ID, which will be imported into a free-form integer, or text. What is the best way to import the case data and have it match up the customer based on the legacy customer ID, is there a specific way
