Is Netsuite Payroll Timekeeping Legally Compliant
Employers are required by law to track exact start time and stop time, before and after lunch, for every non-exempt (hourly or salary) for 4 years. With Netsuite, we have to click Track Time, then Calculate Time to enter start and end time, and breaks. Netsuite auto calculates the hours and subtracts the break time from the total. Employers are require to pay employees for 10 minute breaks each 4 hour period, so why are breaks subtracted from total hours that go into payroll. The break field cannot be for lunch because employers are required to keep start and stop
