Tracking and Approving PTO

We are attempting to use the Payroll feature and Time Tracking to calculate the accumulation of PTO (Paid Time Off) for employees and the requests for PTO.

Does anyone use the Time Tracking for requesting PTO and getting approval from manager?  If so, we would be interested in knowing the particulars of how to use NetSuite for this.
