Restrict Custom Role to Certain Vendors and Related Transactions

I need to restrict a custom role to be able to view only certain vendors and their related transactions (bills, payments, etc) and financial reports.  I'm new to NetSuite and not sure how to go about this.  Any advice would be appreciated.
