payment voucher item sort

Is there anyway to have the invoices on a payment voucher print in invoice # order and NOT in amount order.
I sorted my invoices and entered them in invoice # order, but it still sorted on amount due.

I search the "help" files and no mention was made of the sort.  I didn't see it in this users group either.
