Check Numbers Display in register

We use Metavante for about 95% of our bills. When we run the account register, it defaults to display "To Bill Pay" instead of the check number that was written. Is there a setting I can change so that the actual check number shows up in the list. Right now I have to go to the payment transaction to get the check number to view. Anyone help or advice would be appreciated.
