Customer Invoice Delivery Preference

Is there a way to indicate whether a customer prefers an emailed invoice or a printed invoice and automatically send them their invoices the way they prefer?

Alternately, if we set a custom filed on the client record to show preference, can this information show up on the INVOICE BILLABLE CLIENT screen so we can choose to print or email or both?
