Bill Pay- asset account

I am trying to enter a bill for a payment that is a fixed asset.  When I try to choose the asset account on the bill payment screen, the only options I have are expense accounts and deferred expense accounts.  Is there a way to have your entire chart of accounts be available for a payment?
