Won't allow ITEMS to be sold for less than cost

I am trying to do some creative billing with a partner that includes us splitting some initial costs on some fixed price services.  That means I need to have my item cost to be more than my purchase price.

Unfortunately NetSuite does not allow for this.  Is there any way I can discount my rate by 50% and have it come in less than the COST?

All of my profit is in the final GP item billing, so I am not worried about drawing a negative on these item billings. Forgot to add that I have two invoicing schedules with the different items, any way to have that work underneath the same customer?
