Calc line item amount using custom field

I need to add a variable to the calculation of an item value on an invoice, ie quantity x variable (custom field) x rate = amount.

I've seen this on a demo before but can't remember where.  I'd be happy to pay for the use of this script since I know its already been created.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
