Progressive billing

Hello, I have a question related to progressive billing.

When we have a SO, it is comprised of items with a sales price, and payment terms of a project in the contract may be 50%, 45%, and 5%, with a net of 45 days.  We cannot bill the SO to create an invoice that equals to 50% of the contract value.
