Using Journal trx to record AR trx

edited Dec 23, 2019 10:53PM in Accounting / ERP 1 comment

It is always good for any AR related trx (Invoice, Credit Memo, Accept Payment,...) we create it at AR form, instead of using the JOURNAL entry trx.

Why it is downside if we create a JOURNAL Entry (JE) to record AR related trx and use of AR related account codes, example, AR Control account...etc.

I mean if we created a Journal with the field for "Name" with the Customer Name, and with this trx, I can see it reflected in the AR Aging Report as well as the Statement Of Account.... Just that I not sure how this way of JE trx can affects on other reports and the accuracy.

Howdy, Stranger!
