Contract Renewals Module -- 'enable script R05'

Hi-

In the 'contract renewals creation' tab of the contract renewals module there is a check-box called 'enable script R05'.

The assumption would be that if this box is not checked the module will not automatically create renewal transactions. Can anybody confirm that this is correct?

Additionally, would it be possible to us to create our own renewal transactions (sales orders) and manually point a contract to the order that is renewing it (essentially unlock the 'renewal transaction' field so that we can manually select the transaction?

Any information is appreciated, thanks in advance.
