Contract Renewals Module - manually create quote
I just joined a company who is using the contract renewal module (it's new to me). It appears that the module automatically creates a renewal quote -90 days to expiration, which is functional. However, this means that our renewal pipeline is only accurate for the next 90 days. My questions are:
Does the renewal transaction have to be a quote? (can it be a salesorder and skip the op/quote)
Will the module work if I were to manually (by script or webservices) create the renewal transaction and reference it in the contract or does the renewal transaction have to be created by the module?
