Contract Module for Hardware

Netsuite's contract module is for software vertical, which is unsuitable for our use.  We sell computer hardware, and along with services, we provide warranty and maintenance contracts.

We need to do the following :
1.  Capture contract entitlement details, including start date/end date, service coverage, part# and serial# under contract, customer details, contact information, installed site details
2.  Verify customer entitlements upon a service request, to make sure we are providing the correct SLA as defined in the contract, the hardware item is under contract, etc
3.  Reporting on contract renewals for on-going service revenues

We engaged a Netsuite contractor to customize the above, but the solution delivered is somewhat clunky.  We can have hundreds of items under a single service contract, and it does not handle it well.  I have considered Epiphany's e-Contracts, but the yearly cost and implementation could not be justified.
