How do I get a lifetime sales dollars on a customer's dashboard? Maybe in the kpi?

:(I have been trying to figure out a way to get the lifetime sales of a customer to display on the customer's dashboard.  Via a KPI or anything that someone can help me with.  I don't want to call up a report.  I want to be able to drill down to customer's dashboard and see the total $ they have spent with the company.  Thank you for any help.
