Stranded, Incorrect Gift Certificate Balances
We have an issue where current, active gift certificate numbers held by customers were uploaded via invoice but found to be incorrect due to missing leading zeros. The invoice was deleted in order to redo the upload.
On deleting the invoice, the gift certificates with the correct auth codes stayed in the system but were set to 0.00 remaining balance. It is a huge oversight and defect that it is even possible for this happen.
We cannot reimport these gift card amounts because the auth code is already in use. We cannot access the gift certificate via scripting or the UI to change the code or the remaining amount to correct it in any way that we have found.
