Put Credit Note onto related Purchase transaction availability

Hi all,

We are trying to get any returns/credit notes against a purchase request to be reflected on the line item availability (quantity receipted and quantity billed). Has anybody been able to achieve this?

We are using non-inventory items in production, however tests in the sandbox with inventory items also does not allow us to do this.
