Automatically send Email with Email Template, Attached Invoice from Memorized Transaction

Apologies - haven't been working for a few years and have forgotten a lot!
We have a monthly memorized Invoice transaction.
We want to automatically email it out to the email address in the customer record,
in an email from a custom Email Template we've created, and
attach the Invoice as a .pdf.

We cannot find how to do this in Help and aren't having any luck!
