Advanced Revenue Management Setting - Create and Maintain Revenue Element Upon Closed Order

Hello,

I haven't been able to find any supporting documentation on this setting (other than what it's supposed to do). We currently have it enabled to continue earning revenue on closed orders. However we want to disable this so we can stop earning revenue on closed orders. We'd test in Sandbox, but it's currently down due to maintenance.

Does anyone know how this would affect current orders? If we disabled it, would it reverse the rev recs that had earned revenue?
