"nlapiSendMail is not defined"

has anyone had any luck with sending mail using suitescript?

when i try it (i'm using the function exactly as the guide demonstrates), netsuite sends me an email saying this:

SendMail ReferenceError: "nlapiSendMail" is not defined. (SendMail#957)

are they adding functions one at a time or something, and haven't gotten around to adding nlapiSendMail yet? what's the deal?
