Logging a script on a record (w/ note)

edited Jan 8, 2020 2:24AM in SuiteCloud / Customization

Hi -

Does anyone have a simple note-creation function they'd like to share?

I'm realizing that automated edits to records should really be documented as such.  Right now, the change gets noted in the system notes, but there's nothing (at least that I can see) to indicate that the change was done by Suitescript.

I'd like to create (or borrow) a function that adds a note indicating when and how the record was modified, and what Script was used to make the modification.  My hunch is that this will be a valuable tool for debugging down the road.  Admittedly, I can long stuff on the script record, but if someone doesn't realize that a script is in use, that won't be as helpful as having a record of it, on the, uh, record itself.

Howdy, Stranger!
