FieldChanged trigger is misbehaving

All of a sudden, the FieldChanged trigger is behaving strangely.  I have a script that runs a calc when the amount field changes.  If a user clicks on the amount but does not change it, the FieldChanged trigger fires.  This is wrong and different from previous behavior. 

Any idea what is going on?
