Suite Script Code Issue

I am creating a new task based after an opportunity is created - I am trying to pass the company and transaction id to the event - I use the redirect function to open the new event in edit mode and the company and transaction id are present - however when I save the event I lose this information - cant see why ?
any help appreciated.
