Do I have access to the Education list?

Hi,

I am in 2007 release.
I need to create a custom field in a CustomRecord which is similar to the "Level of Education" field in the Employee record.But I am not able to access the System list "Education".Is there any way to do this?

My requirement is to create the fields (Level of Education ,Degree & Date Conferred) in a custom record & need to create an Employee record with these fields populated from the customrecord.
Can anyone suggest a better way to do this?
