nlapiGetRecordType Not Working on Cases

Hi,

Has anyone here used nlapiGetRecordType() on a Case record? It should be returning 'supportcase', but it doesn't seem to work at all.

I've got this simple script running when you click a custom button when in edit mode on a record:

record_type = nlapiGetRecordType();
alert(record_type);

...pops up with the message 'salesorder' when run from a sales order, but when it's run from a Case record, there's no pop-up message at all...

I've tried it on different browsers and users as well...any help appreciated.
