Bug when setting List fields displayed as inline text
I think this has been reported a while back but the behavior still exists.
If you have a list field displayed as inline text, you can use NS apis to change the value but the text does not update and you can not retrieve the changed text value (but you can retrieve the changed value).
List (custrecord_mylist):
Text ID Element1 = 1 Element2 = 2 Element3 = 3
Inline text field is set to default to ID 1 so in the form shows as Element1
Run the following code:
alert(nlapiGetFieldValue('custrecord_mylist')); // displays 1 alert(nlapiGetFieldText('custrecord_mylist')); // displays Element1 nlapiSetFieldValue('custrecord_mylist', 3); alert(nlapiGetFieldValue('custrecord_mylist')); // displays 3 [this is correct] alert(nlapiGetFieldText('custrecord_mylist')); // displays Element1 [this is incorrect] 0
