pop a custom form from a client side button
Imagine this:

A customer calls to order supplies for their product we've sold them.

A customer service rep locates the customer record and presses a button called "Send supplies".

A pop-up window opens with a custom form (not a custom record, just a form to allow data entry)

CSR enters a few bits of information and presses a save button.

a UE script runs on the after submit event and does the following:

Creates a sales order

update some fields in another record

This pop-up form that I want to have doesn't represent a custom record, but an action. It would allow the collection of data and a trigger (save button) to run a script.
