inconsistencies = pain in the butt
(edited to be a little less angry) :0|
I've identified a problem preventing me from getting my job done: Not all records expose basic, shared fields, EG:

datecreated

lastmodifieddate
Why not? Is there a reason why these fields weren't consistently exposed for all records?
A 'Transaction' has the fields, but a 'Sales Order' (which is just a View of the transaction table, right?) doesn't? Why?
It looks like it might be possible to get the values from a search, but why would I want to do that if I already have references to all my records??
This kind of stuff drives me nuts....
