List/Record fields in Suitelets

I'm trying to set up a list/record field on my suitelet page.
I'm new to suitelets so I'm trying to figure all this out.
Is there an example somewhere on how to do this.
For example, I want to set up a list/record field on my suitelet for items.
So that the user can select an item that's in netsuite.
Then set some other fields for the item.
