Diplaying custom fields value problem.....

Hi,

I am uisng custom fields in transactions forms.
I created the custom field with store value check box as unchecked, it is getting values set in the fields by nlapiSetFieldValue, and can see the value by using nlapiGetFieldValue.
Now I changed the store value check box as checked for this custom field, then I am not able to set the vlaue for this custom field. I am getting 'null ' for this field.

plz suggest me how to rectify this.
