CyberSource error when creating a cash sale via SuiteScript

When I try to create a cash sale that uses credit card information with server side SuiteScript, I receive a peculiar error.

"CyberSource requires that a value be specified for the cardholder's email. Please update the transaction to include this value and retry."

I don't see any field on cash sales where I can put an email address so I'm assuming it pulls the email address from the customer record. Many of our 'customers' don't provide us with email addresses so I don't have one to put on the customer's account

I called CyberSource and they claim the cardholder's email address is not required for transactions.
