Saved Search Delete Function Question

edited Dec 2, 2019 6:09PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 2 comments

Hello,

We are building our own custom Delete Records function based on a Saved Search.  We have a few questions for guidance:

1.  What is the best way to get the underlying record type of a Saved Search when all we have is the or ID / Name?

2.  What is the best way to detect in code if there are child records on a record?  We want to skip these for delete purposes.

3.  What is the best way to delete a bunch of records that are part of a saved search?  It appears that we will have to iterate them one by one after detecting child records, but I suspect there is a Delete List operation that we don't see in the documentation.

Howdy, Stranger!
