minify or pack SuiteScript files?

Is there any tangible performance advantage to using minified or packed server side SuiteScript files?

I have a few utility libraries that I use often, and am wondering if there is any reason to upload the 'release' compressed version of them to my file cabinet rather than the more bloated 'development' version.
