Script to Set Kit Package Item Category on SO

edited Dec 2, 2019 5:57PM in SuiteCloud / Customization

Hi!

Another awesome script I've written that doesnt work - I'm on a Roll

please can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? Much appreciated

Problem

We have around 20 Kit/Package items live on the site, when an order comes through for a kit package item that Item Category doesn't get entered in. It leaves it blank and this causes problems in our reports. The item appears under 'No Item Category'.

What works

When we manually create a SO then the Item Category gets entered and appears fine in reports.

Solution

 function SetFieldValue(type, edit)  {   var itemDetails = nlapiSearchRecord('salesorder', null, new nlobjSearchFilter('internalid', null, 'is', nlapiGetRecordId()),   [    new nlobjSearchColumn('custcol5'), //item type column on SO//   ]);    var ItemCat = nlapiGetFieldText('Kit', 'Class'); //Get field text//    nlapiLogExecution("DEBUG", "Get Cat", nlapiGetFieldText('Kit', 'Class'));     // Loop through all items in the sales order//      for(var i = 0; i < itemDetails.length; i++){         nlapiLogExecution("DEBUG", "Item Cat", itemDetails[i].getText('custcol5', 'item'));     if(itemDetails[i].getText('custcol5', 'item') == 'Kit/Package')    {  nlapiSetFieldValue('class', 'ItemCat');    }  }  }

Howdy, Stranger!
