insert record in email template

Hi,

I Need to retrieve the current users records (details) and insert it in an email template.
When i make a message, i will use the template and the record of the current user will be included/inserted in the template so the receipient will see it.

I tried to make a script and run it in message record type and in email event type.

I used nlapiMergeRecord in the script.

function insertText(request, response)  {    var recordType = nlapiGetRecordType();  var newRec = nlapiGetNewRecord();  var empnameid =nlapiGetUser();        nlapiMergeRecord(62, recordType,empnameid );    return emailBody;  }

any idea?
