nlapiSearchDuplicate - Duplicate Contact Next Steps

Hello Everyone,

I am creating a web services script to integrate our marketing software. It will have to create duplicate contacts as there is no way to create a Lead from a contact record or attach an existing contact to a new Lead upon Lead creation.

I understand that I can use nlapiSearchDuplicate to find duplicate contacts within NetSuite but I am wondering what to do from there. A solution along the lines of merging duplicate records the way the NetSuite UI does would be awesome but I have not found a predefined method within SuiteScript that mimics that functionality.
