cannot search/lookup 'amountremaining' for Item Receipt

I used to use 'amountremaining' in Vendor Bill by nlapiLookupField

however, in Item Receipt, the same method doesn't get any value but just "". From NS doc, 'amountremaining' is available as search column and filter though.

I also tried to use this field as a search filter but still no value returned.

anybody has a point?
