Testing Paying Invoices

I have grabbed invoices, and want to automate paying.  I'm wondering the following.

1.)  I have looked at the following URL

CustomerPayment

And am aware of several true/false fields.  We have put our netsuite in testing mode, where cards aren't charged.  Do any of these fields need to be set to true to make have an invoice paid?  There are more, but these are just to name a few.

2.)  For testing I'm only using the following, to convert an invoice to a payment.
