Accessing SubTabs on SubLists

We have created a Performance Review module in NetSuite.  We have a number of Categories such as Character, Customer Service, Dependability, etc and these vary depending on the Job Template chosen.

We have created a SuiteScript that creates numerous sublists depending on the number of Categories and lists the various competencies within the Category.  The sublist's ID are created as variables and are listed horizontal across the page which is perfect.  However, when I click on one of the sublist's tabs, such as "Dependability" I want to grab the Sublist's ID (type) without clicking on one of the line items in the sublist.
